I've played with the idea of using T-MAXX wheels/tires on the MB. I measured the stock Maxx wheel - too small I.D. to fit over the rear MB linkages.
However, I think a different offset wheel would work - Tower sells some higher offset wheels. They would then clear the suspension but would probably change the handling geometry of the buggy.
The other test would be a 40-series wheel/tire, such as some of the Pro Line offerings. They might be big enough I.D. to clear, while retaining closer to neg. offset.
Fronts don't appear to be a big problem; would just involve cutting a little off the stock axle housing steering arm and re-drilling the steering tie rod locations in closer. Any stock Maxx wheel should fit then, with hole reamed out a little.
Custom hex fittings would be needed, but a cut-off 5/16" hex-head bolt would work for that.
Anyone else tried this?
