Problem with using front offset wheels in rear

When I move the fron wheels onto the rear of my stampede, the nuts dont screw in all the way. The rear stampede wheels have indentations that make the wheel thinner. Its weird that axles in the fron end of the truck are longer form the hex to the end, than in the rear...

RPM hexes are thinner than stock, you can try those. Also, I often put my nuts on backwards, so that the nylon portion is facing the wheel. That keeps them on nicely.

I only have problems with the CVD axles. The stock axles have always worked fine for me with stock front or rear wheels, RPM wheels, HPI wheels, etc. But, if you can't get the nuts on all the way, do what Seb said.

This thread is a little old, but I found another solution - nylon nuts from RPM, and they're cheap too.

Actually found the idea from some really old r/c car article from the 70s!
