uhm your bearings probably wearing out allowing the crank to wobble a bit and the con rod scuff the mill.
i read somewhere that when aluminum wears down it turns black.

    Lightbulb yes klitch is write...

Klitch, you probably read the, aluminum turning black when it wears, from one of my earlier posts; I talked about that a few times before. CWank, it's a good possibility that Klitch is right on this one, something like that happened to me before; I think my connecting rod bushing got oval shaped at the bottom and started to wear against the crankcase inside. I have noticed when I used to run my trx pro .15, the backplate would always get black oil on it, but if you are having a tinging noise, something isn't right. If your engine sounds "normal", is just gargling like it is rich, and the black oil is only on the backplate; I would just say it is running rich. If it sounds abnormal and you have dark black oil coming from the exhaust, something is wearing away in the engine.

Im pretty new to the stinger pipe, but since you have alot of oil that builds up in the pipe, isnt it a good idea to twist and turn the whole truck every now and then to drain it?
I could see where after a while you might build up enough to cause a problem...

    Any ideas?

with a pull start running a stinger it is prolly a better idea to reamove the entire header and blast air through it cleaning the remaining oil out of the header, I say with a pull start because you have NO ez start to remove which is annoying after awhile.
