    Upgraded Tie Bar?

What are the advantages or disadvantages of a carbon fiber tie bar?

It will lower the chances of bending the hinge pins.

I have yet to bend one since I got the carbon fiber one. They used to bend ALL the time and without me knowing it (I bet yours are bent right now!).

I now have the aluminium one and it rocks! Complete silver rusty is the way to go!

If you do bend the hinge pins, get the Titanium upgrade ones that are only available at RD Racing Products. They are the only ones that carry them and well worth the price to ensure smooth vehicle operation!

I made an aluminum one out of 1/8" plate. Then I it a car, bent it and belt a hinge pin at a 45º angle. Now I run Ti hinge pins and the same tie bar. Haven't had a problem yet.

Is that the point of the tie-bar? I bought two Rustys online for about $250 total, and both of them were missing the tie-bar. I haven't replaced 'em yet. I guess I should then?

The CF tie bar is also lighter and stronger than the stock fiberglass tie bar.
Now if only they would make a CF or aluminum drag link....
I love the smell of nitro fumes in the morning!
