how do i convert my futaba radio transmitter to nicad? Do i just stick in normal nicds and buy a charger adapter? Also, are there any draw backs (I hear that the lower voltage from the nicds are bad and give u less radio range, is that true?)?

I drag raced my friend today. Did pretty good, came in second.
Yes, keep the alcalines becaues they have 1.5 and the nicads have 1.2. It inturn is 10.9 or so compared to the 12 it normaly getss, so more glitching and less range, but also you never need to buy batteries. personaly my track sells 8 packs of AA's for 5 bucks, and they last prety long( like 12 full hours of running) in my airtronics rival radio.
to charge just get a charging adaptor with the rite connector and plug it in![]()
