    Call me braindead, but....

I can't really figure out how to charge a receiver pack!! I have a Duratrax Intellipeak charger, and it has the standard Tamiya connectors, for charging normal 6 and 7-cell batts, but the receiver pack has the weird pin-type receiver connections. How the heck would I charge that? As a side-note, The Intellipeak connectors can be interchanged, so I can take out the Tamiya connectors, and you can put in new ones (not by soldering or anything, the charger just has clips that hold the wire ends in the charger.) So, does anyone have any suggestions on charging receiver packs?

    Thx in advance!

    -Matt

Well you might have to make one. Buy a connector that will fit on the other end of the receiver pack (the end where the pack plugs into the truck....) it shouldnt be too hard to make.

from when I raced many years ago, I have been using the older deans 4 pin connectors:

I use them on all my motors,ESC's,charger, and batteries. the one on the right is the female part. they would go on the batteries. I like them because they are small and have very little resisteance. I have had them tamiya connectors melt together on me in the past. I have had no problems with the deans. with receiver packs, I know that once they are mounted in the nitro cars and/or trucks, you don't want to be removing them to charge them. what I did was to add a connector inline from the on/off switch to the receiver pack.the deans are small and can be hidden away on the vehicle.and to charge your pack up, all you will need to do is to disconnect the receiver pack from the on/off switch and plug your charger into the pack.this is a tip I recommeded to antranik, here it is on his 4-tec pro(see the connector next to his tank lid)see pic on bottom of page

as far as your charger, I am assuming that this is the charger that you have?

all you need is another pair of wires, add the new connectors on one side, strip the other ends bare so you can insert them onto the terminals of your charger. that way in case you want to charge something with tamiya connectors, you still have the ones that came with the charger.
    i hope this helps

    Ok thanx

Thx for the help guys! I was just wondering, does anyone know where to buy those 4-cell AA battery holders that you clip into the receiver, instead of a receiver pack?
