    Yokes

Hi I just got a Stampede from a cousin that was sitting in a garage for 3 years and I been having alot of trouble. I had to buy 2 one way bearings in the last weak one broke inside and once I thought everything was going to go the wheels didn't move. So now I'm trying to take this thing a part to check out the gearbox but I can't get the Yokes off and I don't want to break it.

Also how do I stop the car from dying when I hit the breaks.

open up your throttle trim or idle screw a little, and the yokes are hard to get off, you probably wont break it even if you feel like you are going to.

If they are stock yokes, there will be two grub screws you will need to loosen, and then, you will need to temove the u joint from the yoke and there will be a screw going through the inside of the yoke into the output shaft going into the transmission.

I havent actually looked at the yokes on my pede yet, but I beleive they are the same as on the Nitro Rustler.

Also, you might want to hit the main site for the pede. There are exploded diagrams so you can see where all the screws are I am talking about.

    Enjoy,
    PD

there is a idle screw on the carb, u want a 1-2mm gap in the carb when the brakes are fully applied.

while u have the output yokes off, u may want to upgrade to the TRAXXAS steel output yokes. yes, the yokes on the nrustler and the npede are the same. PD u have steel output yokes, and CVD's.
