    Question Computer SPeakers...

Hello, I am looking for some new speakers for my computer. I have some cheap ones that i got with my computer. I am looking for some pretty good ones that arn't pricey. Maybe $50.00 range. Running low on cash.

Here is a set I am looking at.

I have a similar setup altho my mobo supports digital out I don't have an extra receiver that has fiber inputs yet. So I have a Kenwood receiver with 100 watt speakers for my front channel and a Sanyo receiver with 2 house speakers for my rear.

For the best sound from computer speakers forget the Creative's and go with Altec Lansing! At least goto the store and listen to a demo...the Altec Lansing speakers I've heard have blown away anything else in computer speakers in my opinion! Even my co-workers were impressed when we went and listened to several sound systems the Altec Lansing competed with a lot more expensive setups and sounded as good if not better!

I have the "altec lansing 3 piece speaker system" I am almost positive it is 80 watts ( sound way louder though ). I got them for $80.00 at a computer expo.

For great sound forget sub/satallite systems, get floorstanders!

I got a Technics A/V amp with a pair of 200watt floor standers (they cost £50 and are sweet for the money). Twin bass drivers, whole deal is sweet. Especially on racing games, a V8 doesn't just sound like a V8, it feels like one!

Save your money up and get a cheap amp and speaker setup (if you look around you can get some unbelievable deals). It also means that I don't have to burn my MP3's or whatever to CD to listen to them on my system!

Honestly, its the way to go
