Fantom .15 Engine

hey i am thinking about buying a nitro rustler with a .15 fantom engine on it from a friend. the engine has 1.25bhp and does 39,000 rpm i wanted to know if anyone thinks that this engine will be almost as good or better than the trx 2.5 engine

i heard that the new Fantoms are better on the low end than the old fantoms.

the fact that hes getting the older fantom kinda makes that obversation useless, but it is good info nonetheless.

I have a fantom fr15, and overall its an ok engine. It works fine in an offroad vehicle, and has some insane top speed when tuned and geared right.
It leaves a bit to be desired in the bottom end though. When it wakes up... boy does it wake up.

Either way, buying a truck for an engine doesnt make much sense. How much is he asking for the truck, is it worth it to you?
Remember, most used trucked WITH the engine sell for about how much a NEW engine will cost(yes shut up, some trucks are expensive cause of hopups and other junk. but if its stock with just the fantom upgraded.. my point is valid.. sheesh).

So look it over. If you feel its the right price, grab it.

i think its stock with a .15 fantom engine and a fantom pipe for around $150
