Thumbs up Monster Mash 13T motor

Just got my Trinity "retro series" Monster Mash 13x2 motor.
All I can say is WOW! I know it isn't a P94 or a D5, but his thing absolutely kills my Orion Rush 13x2. The dyno says it all, my Orion Rush puts out 151 Watts maximum power, the Monster Mash puts out 180 Watts of power. For the very first time, I'm getting rolling wheelies with my 'pede!

I'll have to thank Beeni for this, because I was ordering a M-Tronics Sport RV ESC from hobbypeople.net (he posted a thread about the sale) when I saw that they had all of the Trinity Retro motors on sale for $15.99! Heck, the ESC was only $35 bucks on sale too. Sadly, they are out of stock on the ESC and motor now - and the ESC is at regular price ($44.99). Tower sells the MM for $34.99, but hobbypeople's "regular" price is $19.99 which is still a great deal once they get more in stock.

I got just the armature. It performed well until a defect in manufacturing became apparent.

This was probably a freak occurence though.

Just a little secret about the Rush's... If you want awesome performance out of them strip them down, have the comm. cut since it isn't really true from factory, and adjust the brush hoods and make sure everything slides in and out properly and you'll have a budget motor the hauls.

Another "speed secret" with the Orion Rush is cutting out the timing limiter tab in the endbell so you can advance the timing past 5 degrees.

    ...

Good to see it's working so well, what's the highest wind they go to? I might try running two of them in my 4x4 when it decides to run.
    Get it? Got it? Good.

The Sport-RV is good for 15T motors, but I accidentally ran my 13x2 Rush with my Sport RV for several battery packs without cooking it.

Anyone realize that I posted this thread 4 months ago?
