    1/8 buggy recomendations

i'm looking at the duratrax axis prebuilt right now because it's so cheap and i don't need a radio. how is it's reputation? also, does anyone know about the TORQ .21 engine? i can't find specs on it anywhere.... thanks, jp
also, will i be able to race competitively with it? mainly i'll be using it for bashing but i'd like to do some racing too.

well its a begginers buggy.... it issnt fast but the engine is reliable... my friend has it in his nitro quake....get an ofna buggy.

for about the same price you can get the new gt lx pro with the .25 engine

The hyper 7 pbs rtr. A bit pricey (550) but definitely worth it. It comes with a starterbox, rtr, and with a .21 hyper 7 8-port engine(very fast) and with pivot ball suspension(pbs). The 9.5 is always good. But those ofna ultra buggies are always a good value.

Well I happen to like the GS Storm. The Hyper 7 is great too but both are expensive. Like others have said Ofna buggies are great.

well the gs storm haas some ups and downs...

ups-lots of high quality aluminum in the right places.
    -high quality construction
    -plenty of hop ups included
-awesome price for all the hop ups

downs-no shock or diff oil was included
-the bleed holes in the shock caps leaked at times
-Universals were prebuilt, but need to be rebuilt with thread lock

    there u go

the PBS will be out probably by the end of this month.

also, the Storm has few more flaws than that, but can be fixed with about 90 bucks. but it will take almost 100 alone to get it running, the Storm Pro doesn't come with oils or wheels/rims. no header, pipe, airfilter.

The PBS IS out. Only nitro house has them in stock. Just noticed, that nitro house and ofna's company building are in the same address! So nitro house is ofna.

looks like mugen is going to be releasing a new buggy sometime soon, the mbx 5. how will this compare to the mbx 4? i have some friends that race and they have told me that mugen has a really good reputation for not breaking and they're great at racing, too both qualities that i want. does anybody know where i can read reviews or anything on these two cars? if you have a link i would really appreciate it. thanks! jp

i wouldn't trust a used engine off of ebay, it could be trashed. just my opinion though.

W82 has given the best offer to this and is not even given a reply. Sounds like nobodys listening Wreckage82. The Integra rules 1/8 buggys.

I would go for the Hyper 7 PBS. It's RTR, includes a starter box, and the carrying bag. I believe they have it at Ultimate for about $489. I'm trying to save for that buggy, plus it's an Ofna. If you have the money for a buggy then you could go for the Kyosho MP 7.5 Kanai Edition.

i would rather choose a hyper 7 pbs over a kanai edition rtr.(if there was one)CUZ THE KANAI IS LIKE 500-700 DOLALRS WITHOUT ENGINE AND ELECTRONICS AND STUFF. A BIT PRICEY.

    oops sorry bout all caps.

489$ for the pbs! u shur bout that? let me check

i dont see it there!? is this the right site?

I agree with you Big Kal, Ofna puts out some nice buggys. If $$$ is not the issue, the 7.5 is the prime choice.

can u please tell me where you found the truck for 489?i dont really like the kanai edition. i think its stupid to pay that much for something that is probably worse than the pbs
