oh man i took my pede to a bmx track and i had a blast til i had a dirty filter and no filter cleaner lol. but yeah, its the best jump truck and its about as fast as a old maxx. about 35mph stock and if you put a tuned pipe on it, it gets there faster lol.

yeah the speed can also be increased or the acceleration can be increased by changing the gearing or putting different exhaust systems on it. You can also put aftermarket airfilters on for better filtration and airflow. The Npede stock is very durable and can also be transferred to all aluminum. Speed is good from stock, jumping is nice, and they don't call it the wheelie king for nothing.

It can and it cant be easy to control sometimes. because it is rwd, when you get up to top speed you need how to brake and steer or else you are most likely gonna break somethin.

the 2 most popular exhausts aeem to be the mip 360 stinger

and the mipe side off road exhaust, which is what I have.

and if you are thinking of a new engine, o wpuld recomend either the os .12 or os .15 cv-x series, the megatech m-16, or a collari .12

it is easy to maintain and yes you can fill the tank when the engine is on. I use traxxas top fuel, 20% nitro

The biggest fump I did was jump over my dads toyata sequoia ( about the size of an expidition. I jumped it the long way! I broke the rear left arm and the shock. The only reason it broke was cause it jumped about 25-30 feet in the air. Other wise it a pretty tough truck, just dont try doing $600 dollar jumps with a $300 truck

    Ok here we go...lol

Wheelie Bar: Yes ESP Makes a wheelie bar for the Nitro Stampede, you can find it at Tower Hobbies. Just type in Nitro Stampede as the search engine and you'll see it there.

Jumping: The pede will take almost any jump you can throw at it. Normally I would say any jump, but I jumped mine for xxx main last year and I was gettin pretty high up there. After about the 4th jump I came down on the rear left tire prettu hard and actually broke the differential itself in half. But it was well worth it, you will be able to see it in XXX MAIN 3.

Fuel: I know im gonna step on someones toes (including traxxas) But I don't use the top fuel in my pede. I used it for a long time and I likes the results, but it's too expensive. I found many hobby shops that will sell me Trinity Monster Horsepower fuel for a lot less than top fuel. I have run a lot of Monster HP fuel through my pro 15's and they have never run better. I find they start better, have had less wear and better lubrication. I mean it's personal preference but I like the Trinity Fuel much more. I live in Canada and at my lhs fuel is 32.00 a quart for top fuel, I can go to the other hobby shop and get Monster HP fuel for 22.99 per quart, and last year when our other lhs went out of business I went and bought 15 quarts of trinity fuel for 10 bucks a quart.

Pipes: MIP makes a great pipe for the Stampede. I have also heard good things aboutt he AE and Traxxas pipes. Since the Traxxas pipe is made by MIP just different anodizing. But if you really want a lot of HP gains and you wanna take the time to tune it correctly, I am a strong believe in the CVEC pipes. I used one and it was insane on my t-maxx.

Speed: Theres where the stampede takes the T-Maxx to school. the pede is faster than the maxx out of the box. You can get the Pede up to aroudn 42mph without major mods, a good pipe running good fuel and a proper tune with a 22T clutchbell will make her a rocket. The Pede doesn't handle quite like the maxx, but I actually like that. The pede is narrower, has a higher center of gravity and doesnt turn well at high speeds, but when you learn how to drive it with this you can be a dangerous thing ont he track. The steering takes some time to get used to, but it works well. But the fact that the pede handles worse than the maxx makes it way more fun. Who here has taken a T-Maxx through a rough construction site or field? It soaks up all the bumps and keeps its shape and stays in a straight line for the most part, what does the pede do? It goes all over the place, your hitting the brakes half the time and floorin it, its so much fun and never gets old. Take a pede through a rough field WOT and you'll your pants by what this little truck will do and still come back for more punishment.

Overall I think the pede is a great truck. I have had quite a few tmaxxes and I have always gone back to my trusty pede. It's a strong proven design and too much fun to be legal.

I meant the Gen 1 maxx, but last year when I was racing I dragged a 2.5 maxx and I was inching ahead of him. But I was running a ported engine and 22T clutchbell.

If you want to go apples to apples buy me a 2.5 and we'll settle this like men 2.5 maxx vs. 2.5 pede.
