... FROM TOWER. I GOT:
N. PEDE
FUEL FILTER
GLOW IGNITER
CAR CLEANER
3 QUARTS 20% TRAXXAS FUEL
FUEL BOTTLE
IS THERE ANYTHING I NEED TO CHECK BEFORE I RUN THE TRUCK? HOW SOON WILL THE PLASTIC OUTPUT YOKES BRAKE?
-
no...there isn't really n e thing u have to check on it. Just make sure u don't forget to put batteries in it. Oh yeah... check the servos and make sure everything is working the right way. And don't forget to break in your engine correctly cause that depends on how ur truck will run in the future. About the output yokes, i bought my pede in feb. 99 and they haven't broke yet!! but i am still planning on buying the steel ones. good luck

First, balance your wheels/tire assembly. Make sure you glue your tires before balancing (hehe or the tire will spin on the wheel and you ll have balanced your wheels for nothing). Just rotate the stock tires on your truck with your hand and you'll see the stock tires are really, really far to be balanced. The whells spins at about 2000 rpm so its important to balance. Its like if a larger part of the "rubber mix" they use to make their tires is on one side of the tire, while the other part is thinner, causing the tire to be very hard to balance, (but still possible with a hot glue gun). I suggest you upgrade to some pro-line masher 2k or dirt hawg (the dirt hawg work great but not very good looking on the stampede, a bit too small).
I had some problems with dirt and dust going into the carburetor. The dirt would stick on the needles resulting into inconsistent mixture setting (one moment its so rich it bugs on accel and then its too lean it bugs at high speed, lot of fun hehe)I got a motor saver filter and i had no problem then. Your engine will also last longer. If you keep the stock air filter, clean and lube it each time u use your truck, its not so long and you'll save yourself some trouble.
Also verify that the spur gear rotate straight. I strip mine because the slipping clutch spring was made in a way it would not push "straight" on the spur gear, so it would not rotate straight. I took off the spring and use something like a buffer to correct the part of the spring facing the spur gear.
Also, you should put a throttle return spring. But definately, the best upgrade i did was the pull start. I really dont like the ez start. Sometimes its pretty cold here in Canada and very often it wouldnt start, and i hate depending on batteries to start my engine. I hope you understand what i say because english is not my language. I need to make sentences 2 times longer than yours to say the same thing hehehe You'll have lot of fun with your n stampede. Tell us when you'll try it.

I just got my n pede today and had 5 tanks of fuel through the engine without a fuss! Its great. The only problem was i didnt buy any extra glow plugs because tower didnt have anymore. Nothing has happened to the plug so far though and the truck never stalled or even wanted to.LOVE IT SO FAR!

What did you say? Anyway, how long do the receiver and transmitter batteries work?
-
7 hours and 8.3 minutes na just kidding as soon as the response to steering and throttle are slow and the throttle seems to jump, you need freshies
-
hey benjamima...ithought you never got a pword yet....
-
How can i make it handle better? I drive on loose gravel roads to rough pavement with lots of traction and when i hit it I have to be real easy. Also how do I keep it straight goin full throttle cause I want to go over jumps and cant stay straight.

the micro trims on your remote or directly on your servo can be adjusted
