    Red face High speed steering.

Does anyone else have trouble steering at speed? At low speed the steering is responsive and the truck turns well. At high speed I turn the wheel all the way, the front wheels turn, but it's like they can't get any traction and the turning radius is like 30-40 feet!

you must notice that the nitro rustler is powerful and when you hit full throttle your front tires lift a little...you prob cant see it but it does. Thats why your turning is hindered...also if your using the stock front wheeles like i am then they dont grip as well.

Same with mine .... using Proline Rage II tires on pavement. Then again ... this is a truck with stock suspension. I don't expect it to turn like a well tune suspension of low profile car. On dirt with dirt tires ... well ... it's dirt and suppose to slip . Fortunately, on pavement, apply a little break and just nail the throttle again. And on straight line racing it's a blast ... Full throttle ... hit the brake and it makes a wonderful 180 ready to go again .

    Cool

if you want more responsive stearing and better front end traction, get bearings in the stearing, and put hevyer oil in the rear shocks and lighter in the front. your car will stick to the ground much better ande your stearing will be very responsive.

    Unhappy

My steering is also slow and I've upgraded to ball bearings, Big-bore shocks, Lighter oil in front and sticky tires and it's still slow! Any suggestions?

    Thumbs up

I have put very thin oil in the front shocks along with soft springs... When turning on pavement the truck hooks up well and the inside rear wheel leaves the gound and sometimes will just go into a barrel roll...
I am not using stock tires... I have the f/g shock towers, big bore shocks, and proline tires with ball bearings all the way around...

You need softer springs on the front shocks.
    Traxxas red springs work well.
