    Question better cornering

only new to r/c but have hopped-up (standard suspension) nitro rustler pro.15.
need help with cornering at speed.
pro-line gladiator 2 tyres on rear, original tyres on front.
raised rear, negative on front but looking for more bite from front.
    can anyone help a rookie?

Try some new tires on the front. The front ones last ages but they just don't grip.

This buddy of mine who's been carpet racing for years gave me some tips after checking out my rusty. His tips:

run no pre-load clips on the front shocks and just a little stiffer on the back. Keeps the front wheels biting.

Set your slipper clutch up so it slips for 2-3'. No more rooster tails but it helps you accelerate out of corners without fishtailing

use your brakes before the corner. set your brake up so it doesn't stop the car right away, but it will stop it in 3-5' or so.

get new front tires or at least foam inserts.

put 30-weight oil in your shocks. Not sure what comes stock but I hear it's not that great.

    hope this helps.

aLSO Another thing (might just be my car with RPM rims) I notice that if I steer the wheels hard over all the way to either side, the inside of the rims rub on my turnbuckles. Which basically is like putting your brakes on. So, I try to come in wide&slow and start my turns early, so I don't have to turn so sharp.

Also if you have problems turning, just hit some other cars and use them as bumpers till your car is ponted in the right direction.
