    I've set up boards at:

    www.we-are-webmasters.com/forum (my site)
www.coffeelounge.org/forum (my site, this board is completly stock (without skins or mods)

and I have one at www.rc-action.com But I'm not releasing it till tomorrow.

(yes you will need to setup a mysql database, and your host must support php4 or greater

    I'd reccomend getting a deal from www.gcshosting.com

I host all 6 of my sites off them. They support SQL, PHP, you get a cpanel5 (a control panel), you get a bunch of email addresses, and alot more. I think their little deal is only like 4 dollars a month or something. Their reliable and the customer service is great.

I'd go with them, but it's up to you

No, see mySQL is actually a database that holds all of your information (like members and posts), and you need a host that supports SQL, it's not something you install... No free hosts support sql I don't believe
