    Lightbulb hey just a tip

keep a daily check on the screws making sure they are staying tight, if not, it will eventually wear through the metal chassis, it happened to me before.

    Creedtown182- Thanks for the tip!

NPede 69- I was actually jumping my step brother!, the crack in the fender was from my accident when I first got my truck, it went wide open into a block of ice because I forgot to put the antenna up... I am planning on getting a nice anuminum one soon.

looks like youve got that truck goin good huh? get that thing some alum skids. you wont regret it. they WILL bend but thats better than it shattering n leaving the possibility of something else being damaged.

Either you can just cut a fairly large hole on the side that the engine's on or you could just cut the whole windshield out which is what I did. The best cooling would result if you cut the whole windshield out. I did this by cutting and grinding it out with a dremel.

I definetely would Not cut the whole windshield out. doing that would take away all the body's strength. This is the best way: u have a perfect circle cut in ur windshild for the fuel bottle to go through, and the zip tie on the tank's lid goes out the back window with some fuel tubing and 2 zip tie ratchet blocks (the ends), That hole provides some cooling, it can be in the center, mine's toward the left a bit (didn't realize it could cool engine at the time),
But here's the sweet part: I cut out my grille and bought 2 sheets of stainless "hobby mesh grille." A rectangle is cut off a sheet, and shoe gooed to the inside, It's sweet! I got it on ebay, but i don't think the guy's selling it anymore. u don't have to cut a hole in the windshield if u don't want to with this, but i helps if u do.
btw, shoe goo is great for repairing/reinforcing bodies, it's available at Kmart and other stores.
btw: to cut a perfect circle, get a piece of s lexan, or plastic or something. it should be cut so it's a bit longer than the circles radius and like 1cm wide. then screw one end to where the center will be with a small screw. then with a x-acto knife, (I bet heating it would work awesome) stick it in through both the piece of lexan and the body, and make the cut, keep the blade not too far into the window so it can curve easier/better.
