    is it possible 2 put a 2-speed auto (like the 1 that is in the n4t)

    Hey I was just thinking of that. I will probably will buy the new 2.5 Rusty when it comes out, just to keep my Maxx company. A 2 speed would be totaly hilarious in that thing. It would be uncontrolable, but sooo much fun...

    despite what i have been told, i don't know why it wouldn't work, maybe the one from the 4tec. i only say that because the tmaxx has more room than the 4tec does and it might be different. i said might, not will.

    it will work. I wanted to put one in. But instead of buying a 4 tec transmission, I decided to buy a new 2.5 4-tec since they are so cool. Then I will take out that transmission (meaning the top shaf witch is the two speed) and make it work on my nitro rustler. I will get pics if it works and prove everyone that you can put in the 4-tec 2 speed

    Using the 2speed gears has been done with a STAMPEDE before by SOFASTICANTSEEIT hes a moderator in the N PEDE form. I believe the pede had a custom machine shaft that would accpet the 4tec two speed but fit on the stock pede trans.The whole trannie has been used in a Nitro Rustler it was on ULITMATE TRAXXAS site done by offroadrider.
    You can make miracles happen with a DREMEL TOOL

    nitroboy543x, I will first use the 4-tec (break it in and stuff) then take out some of the parts, put in my rusty, then eventually put the 2 speed back in the 4-tec. Than after I do it, maby I will buy a separate 2 speed just for my rusty.
