hey guys i wanna get into rc but not sure what to get many questions.
1. belt driven or shaft drive
2. get rtr or build from scratch
3. i know youll all 4-tec rocks but what else is good also

if you can find it, i think shaft is better..mostly nitro have it..i would reccomend your first car as a truck or something...kit with a forward reverse esc so you can have reverse to mess with first..on-roads fun, but i crave for off-road..so then the hpi rs4 rally can do both..check hpiracing.com ...has info on it

shaft drive is better because it delivers power faster and smoother. building a kit instead of gettin rtr is the way to go because u can get better parts right away instead of having a poor radio, msc, and motor. the three best cars out there are the Associated TC3, HPI Pro 3, and the Losi XXX-S. the TC3 is shaft driven and the other two have belt drive. the TC3 has the greatest aftermarket support and the most expensive parts. If you go with the TC3 get the Factory Kit because it has most of the best hop-ups available and it will cost u less instead of buying the normal kit and getting all the parts seperately. but im a 4-tec lover so i say go with the 4-tec and show everyone traxxas rulez!
