New 2.5 t-maxx probs. Truck is clicking and jerks when you take off slow?

i was breaking in my t maxx 2.5 today and when i was breaking it in when you go slow it jerks then moves then jerks again, but after it got going it is fine. the idle is a little high so when i stop it will stay still then you hear a click and it jerks again. i lifted the tires off the ground and you still hear this click. but if the truck is off and you roll it it goes fine. Only when i accelerate slow it does this jerking and clicking sound but once it gets going its fine. it seems to me like something is locking up. also if i get on it slow it like has a hard time moving but once it clicks and jerks its fine. is this normal?

    thanks guys i appreciate it.

i spent liek 400 in upgrades silver a arms upper and lower, shock towers, fornt and rear bumpers alum. knuckles aluminum etc.
i like the all silver look i might get a chasie later on.

now im wondering does anyone make a tuned pipe and does the gear change make a noticable difference.

    thanks

yea its the internal clutchs. Since the motor is so rich it takes time to rev and lock the clutches in place. Like they said lower your idle if its clicking when your not on the gas. Once you lean the motor out it will rev hard enough to lock these in place and you'll hardly notice it unless you accelerate really slowly and easily it will still click. Most people say its the tranny wearing in, but if you look inside there is only a clutch (called a pawl) that gets thrown out and catches on a pin on the tranny clutch bell. Nothing to really breakin. If it really bothers you and you dont like reverse then you can get a foward only. Its only 11 bucks and will make starting off very smooth
When in doubt... lean it out!

All new T-Maxxes do that in the begining. After a few more tanks you will notice that it goes away.

so putting the forward gear only would get rid of this?

now does the gear changing make a diff?

    also tuned pipe?

The FOC will give you a smoother take off. The lower the clutch bell tooth number the better the take offs but you lose top speed. The higher the clutch bell tooth number the better top speed but you loss from your take offs. The AE is a great pipe but on the 2.5?

i went to tower hobbies and says you need that kit plus a 26 tooth kit for the t-maxx 2.5.

now this foc will take away all the jerks becasue the jerks are coming from the things locking and how does the foc take this away? also do you need both those parts from tower, annndddddddd does this FOC make truck faster?
