    Question bandaid a pro 15?

ok i tore down my engine tonight as its wasted i can push the piston right through the sleeve ..

now thw main question is there anyway i can bandaid it fot a few months ?

Im not racing or anything like that just some parking lot and yard bashing ..

Reason im even asking is i got laid off last friday so i have to keep a tight grip on money for now so that new motor i was gonna order friday didnt get ordered any ideas or am i just plain out of luck

Also i know i could put piston and sleeve in it but feels like the bearings arent the best in the engine so i didnt want to spend the money on it when i know it wont last very long anyways

    thx Rob

    Well...
Its kinda beat to heck, but it still runs... and its sitting.. collecting dust. well, not dust cause I filled it with oil. and it has a pullstart on it..
If you are in the states and dont mind waiting a few days to a couple weeks, I can toss my old trx to you. PM me your addy.

    Enjoy,

or i would not spend 40 for piston and sleeve then 16 for bearings just get the trx replacement plan for only 75.

I do not know just how bad your cylinder and piston is. If it does not have any scratches and is not worn to bad. You could pull the old bake an dunk.

Place the piston in a 450* oven for about 20 minutes. Once it is hot. Drop it into a container of of Syntec. Oil.

What happens is the pistons expands and the oil gets trapped in the "pours" of the metal. This causes the piston to swell some.

Bad thing. The process makes the piston very hard and brittle. It can shatter over time.

Kind of like taking Cold rolled steele and turning it into spring steele only you are trapping oil instead of the carbon.

sounds like a neat trick to try some other time this looks like the piston has a crack in the top off it all way though to bottom using a magnafing glass i just bought the rustler and have had nothing but problems with the engine i got screwed i will admit becuse i know it had been apart b4 when i took it apart there was no gasket on back plate nor silcone ..so it had been apart thats for sure live and learn i guess
