    speed/control

alright i want my car to perform fast but would i have to sacrifice handling for that because i want good speed and tight handling so what do youall suggest i do because i want a good car with awesome speed and handling before i graduate to a street sport or nitro 4 tec but between those two what do you think i should get nitro or electric. also out of my battery pack (1500) how long should i be getting out of that if i charge for 30 minutes. thanx.

Think about it if your going 100 mph and you crank the steering wheel all the way to the left whats going to happen? your not going to make a hard left turn are you? You half to blend speed and handling toghter. For better handling get some good tires and a sway bar kit. AS for a electric or nitro it kinda depends on the track electric cars are good for short tracks cause they come to speed quick, nitro need a little more space to get to top speed.
lots of things depend on how long the battery will last get a good peak charger that way you will know it will be fully charged. I never charge my batteries for more that like 10 minutes if your charging for 30 minutes you must be using a low voltage for charging.

Get a novak or LRP speed control, with a no motor limit and for a motor go for a 8-9 turn double motor like a trinity, or Reedy motor. And a 1500mah battery wont cut it,go for a 2400mah or a 3000nimh battery. And dump the old charger get a good one like a novak, ion charger what way u know the batteries are peaked.

Well I can't help you in steering. but a good cheap peak charger is the MRC Super BRAIN at 46.99 at tower hobbies or the Duratrax digital peak charger at 49.99 at tower hobbies.
note: electric cars don't have engines. they have motors. If you really want speed, I would first learn the basics of gearing. then you go ahead and buy a 10-turn motor with 3 or 4 winds. that will get you top speed without putting wear and tear on ur car. you might as well get the type of esc that was listed before. for a discharger, just run your car till it slows down significantly to the point that it "stutters" alot when you accelerate.

    lets see:

    motor: $60
    ESC:$100
    charger:$80
    3000mah batteries (2): $140

so ud be lookin to spend around $380 for all of that. then u gotta think about getting proball diffs and the steel output yokes for them because the stock ones just wont hold out with an 8 turn motor. so thats $120 more. its a really big investment.
