Thread: Slipper Clutch

    Post Slipper Clutch

    I noteced that on the Nitro Rustler Spur gear there is a bearing. And on the Nitro Sport there is not, i know the bearing is for the slipper clutch. But, what do i need to put a slipper clutch on my nsport, please give me some part numbers, thanks, i also seen the robinson steel spur gear and it had the bearing on it, and it was for the ruslter

    You will need
    traxxas# 4615 slipper clutch set. Also its a bushing not a bearing. The rustler spur gear will work on the N.sport. Infact they are the exact same. Any spur gear will work on the N.Sport (as long as its the same pitch)

    A slipper clutch will keep your planetary gears on the differential from stripping. It also reduces wear on the pinion gear when your applying the brake. It's an excellent investment. The Sport really should come with one installed.

    No, i'm pretty sure it says "bearing".

    I think what Yippy_skippy is trying to say is the parts you get when buying a slipper clutch is a bushing.(according to Traxxas) Traxxas calls it a spur gear bushing.

    No, it's my badd, I didn't even mention the spur gear of robinsons, i'd say he took it as a stock rustler spur gear.
