    Post gear stripped?

I was runnig my sport today and I hit a little hump. My truck came down on the right rear tire and I heard a pop. When it hit the ground I didn't have the trottle on at all. When I lift the back tires off the ground they will spin fine but when it is on the ground it sits there and moves a alittle and then the gears start spinning. I am not sure what happened but I think it might be something inside the transmission. I am new to this so sorry about the simple question. Thanks for any help.

You might want to check your outdrives too. Those little white plastic yokes aren't the strongest things out there. check to see if the grub screw came loose. Other than that, it looks like a good excuse to buy the Pro ball diff

    Just my $.02

i say u r both wrong. it is the planettary gears in the differential inside the transmission. i have had this problem 3 times. i recommend the pro ball differential

Redneck is right! I just purchased the Nitro Sport 2 days ago, as a easy way back into the hobby (I used to race electrics and play around with gas cars in the early ninteys) I was dissapointed to find that my planetary gears were shot after two runs (after the engine break-in) Although Traxxas is replacing them, I will definatly be upgrading to a stronger differental. I would also like to increase the protection around the front with a bigger & stronger front bumper. That dinky plastic thing on the front is pathetic! I had electrics with stronger front ends than that!

I would like to thank everyone for their help. I have one more question, how do you replace them?

You just losen the grub screw and then take the drive shafts off and they come right off. Not a hard process, but they work really good
