a nitro/electric hovercraft? Or a 1/8 nitro buggy? Seems that every rc manufacturer has a 1/8 nitro buggy. One more question, are you going to have races between other traxxas customers?

hey i was just gunna post about if any companies have a rc hovercraft and if not i say traxxas should jump on the idea and make the first one
when i bought a playstation game at toysrus i seen tyco had one but i said to my self " i don't think so"

ya but i mean a real r/c hovercraft. i remeber tycos the 20 foot radio range, how it broke if u went off a 6 inch jump, how they only work when they want tooi say that they shouldnt even be able to sell these things labled as "fast" but thats just my 2 cents they were fun til i learned that there were real r/c cars not just toys
that would be really cool. I know I would buy 1 real quick! Traxxas u should think about this.

Hovercrafts are difficult to control. They don't fly high enough to go over a curb or climb a hill. RC versions are too small to travel over anything but the smoothest water (1/10 scale waves). They don't steer quickly at high speed.
Am I the only one who thinks these limitations make a hovercraft boring?
I'm not sold on the idea yet.
1/8 scale could be very cool, but we don't make a .21 engine.
well how difficult can it be to make a .21 engine? Or have it to come with out an engine.

My Nitro Sport gets squirly at wot
yeah c'mon traxxas that would be cool to have a 1/8 buggy and maybe a 1/8 stadium truck you guy's should make more vehicle's and how hard could it be to make a .21 duratrax wich is alot smaller than you guy's has got a .21, .15, .16, .12 engines i know you guy's a traxxas can do it
mustang: i never looked at it from that perspective. but what about a 1/8 nitro buggy?

well...............make one then
I do not have the facilities to make a vehicle.

I'm pretty sure that someone said the same thing back in the eary 90's. "well we don't make a .15 engine, we only have .12; it has plenty of power and is pretty easy to tune and we see no need to make a .15 unless we make a big kit to put it in. As of now we can't make a .15 nor do we have the machinery to do it with." Well you guys did it you made a .15... so i know that you can make a .21. Take a tmaxx, make a chassis so that the bulk heads are on top not below, make a foward only tranny, buggy rims/tires, with a lower gearing. And there you have it.<font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2">Originally posted by Mustang:
