Yea, I was going pretty easy the whole time to get a feel for the motor and the huge amount of torque it has over the VXL.
I dont have a temp gun but was using my Snap-on multi meter that has a temp probe.
I am only running the 13t pinion for now.
Finally got everything installed and charged my first lipo ever. Motor temps were around 125 and Esc temps were about 110. Outside temp is about 90. do these temps seem ok? Running a 3s 5000mah...

Thank you! Got it installed just waiting for the Lipo battery. Are there any special cautions when soldering new connectors on the Lipo besides not shorting them together? Heat from soldering iron?...
Ok, have another question for you. In the manual it says to hook the ESC wire to channel 2 (Which is the third slot) but the old VXl ESC was hooked into the other channel 1, with the steering servo...
Got another question for you about the LVC. I know from reading here that I should up the LVC to 3.4 or 3.5. How do I know when the Truck has hit LVC ? will it get sluggish, ESC beep? Thanks
Thanks, I am getting it installed right now, have to wait till Monday to get the 3s battery and charger. Can't Wait!
Hello, The UPS man dropped of my new CC 2400kv combo. What are the 2 screws that are packaged with the system for? There are (2) 3mm socket cap screws. Any Ideas. Also do I really need the fan for...
Thanks for all the info!
Hello everyone, I am thinking of getting the CC 2400kv Motor and ESC system and am wondering what battery connectors everyone is using. I have no clue what to use, I can solder new connectors to...
Fixed, Put in a new bearing and everything seems good now. Thanks
On mine though the inner portion of the bearing does not spin. It acts as if the bearing is locked up and the pinion is just spinning away inside. But when you spin the bearinb by hand it feels ok.
Hello everybody, I have a question for you. When working on my Slash 4x4 I found that the motor bearing was fried melting the plastic cup it rides on. Thats going to get replaced with Kingz Head....
I had a clicking problem to on my slash 4x4. Opened up the rear diff and found one of the rubber washers was split and not where it was supposed to be. Got new rubber washer and still had the...
I will have to wipe all the grease off to double check the gears, if they are ok I will get some new gaskets.
Yea, The truck is only a few months old.
I am sure it was the rear diff because when I had the rear axle out I turned the shafts in the same direction and it was clicking. When filling with fluid do I just fill the inside where the 4 gears...
Hey everybody I got a question for you. I have a clicking noise coming form the the rear diff. I pulled it all apart to find all of the gears in good shape. The only thing I see wrong is that there...
You can also use pipe cleaner. Seems to work pretty good. I just wrapped it around the drive shaft about 3 times and keep the original cover on.

Still got the problem after trying a couple things. I pulled out the micrometer to see if maybe one of the pads was thicker than the rest and found one to be .010 inch bigger than the others. So it...
Ok, I will try that. thanks
El Sob are you talking about the splined piece that goes into the drive shaft? If so I put it back to where it was when I took it apart. About 1/16 of an inch from the start of the threads.
