Yes, you could go with lipo, the orion platinum lipo had 4800 MAH and is 7.4 volts. But with lipo, you need a special charger, and they are expensive.

You dont even need a crazy brushless motor for them, im running a green machine and i will be using them. It is way less slop, and the whole concept of the "Constant Velocity Drive" is good anyway....
