Well it's been 5 months, but I am glad to see that this project is finally coming to a close.
I'll third it then. I can tell you from experience that integy is NOT a good option, except for their heatsink with a fan. The only things I would replace with Al are the bearing (stub axle)...
Good luck trying to burn it all out though. Check out the duratrax temp gun. Everyone I talked to loves it. I have the one from harbor freight, and it works well too.
A lower kv motor means more torque but less RPMs, and a higher kv motor means less torque but more rpms. Like zoom said, you can gear a lower kv motor to be just as fast as a higher kv motor too. The...
Yes, the xl5 has the cheaper bushings and there is a large lack of customability, but otherwise, there is not much of a difference. Also, I believe that the xl5 still comes with plastic trans. gears,...
Yes, it does. Literally. Everything. Unfortunately, the battery that comes with it really is not that great. If you care to, you can sell the battery on failbay or in the marketplace and upgrade.
...
Ahhhhhhhhhh
It's so shiny it's burning a hole in my monitor!
By the way, I see you don't have integy 1/8 adapters. Good choice. I speak from personal experience in that one.
And finally,...
My XL5 that I haven't used in a year and a half, that was only run 3 times, just burnt out last week when I tried to put it in a rustler I rebuilt. I really want to get rid of my brushed packs, so...
How much does it weigh compared to stock?
You really should look into the MMM on that thing if you have the cash. It would be PERFECT in that thing.
I would try 21/90. Shouldn't have any heat issues with that.
I would set it for 3.4. I don't know what kV your motor is rated at but my vxl (3500kV) slash on 2s lipo geared 23/86 gets about 40 to 43 mph. And I can run it with alot of WOT for 25 minutes without...
The adapters do not widen it at all. Atleast with the bigblock clones I got from suprasales. IMO, they look great, perform great, and last longer. The only reasons I could see NOT getting 1/8 is lack...
I wonder what the LVC is set at, and if it can be changed.
As far as classic looks go, between the 2011 and 2012 mustangs, camaros, and challengers, the challenger is the best. And me, a mustang freak, saying that, you know it's true. The only reason I...
Tell your friends to stop doing this stupid stuff then.
My friend is an aspiring video editor and is pretty good at what he does, and he thought the vids were real too.
Fox news getting bad...
Yes, I guess I could do that if I need to. Thanks street!
Pretty much correct. But I think everyone on here agrees that the MMP ESC with a VXL motor is a good combo. See, the VXL ESC lacks the ability to custom tune, and it has a few bugs. The mamba max pro...

There is no way to make the cover fit. Now that you have gone 32p, you don't need it. See, 32p gears are strong enough to take just about any dirt, gravel, sand, etc you can shove in them. A larger...

@ Brushless
Don't take everything so literally. All I was saying is that if someone gave him a free 4x4, would he keep it or turn it down?
@ Arvint
I guess it doesn't matter anyways, but if I...
That's the grand old navy, alright ;)
Yes..... I gathered that.... Lol...... It IS a v6, remember. It won't ever be as loud as a GT could be. Or else I would be a ricer, which I am not.
Anyways.
I don't have it yet but I know...
Loosen the slipper a little. I liked street's idea about zip ties. Clever fix. I have had the same stock half shafts/ujoints/etc since day one, and they have only popped out once.
Geared 22/86 on a 7 cell with dirty old bearings and a transmission in bad need of a cleaning, I got 35 mph. Without a lid, with new clean bearings, lowered shocks, and with a clean bind-free...
