the short antenna's are for the 2.4ghz radio's and the long one are from the 27mhz radio's . i dont know if making the antenna tube shorter will affect the performance

you can make venting holes in your body to help with airflow or you can install a fan on your esc and if you have money you can buy a 1/10 esc and forget about thermal :thumbup:

sand will get in your main driveshaft and it will be like sandpaper on you driveshafts but no sand gets in my gears

yes you do need a new motor mount and plate because as you noticed the velineon motor is smaller the motor mount is part number #7060 and the motor plate #7090

i have the ac680 and it works flawlessly every time , if you plan on charging your lipo's in parallel i think a bigger charger is better because the ac680 only delivers up to 6 amps :)
