good, thats what I was hoping for.I already have the expansion kit, just have not installed yet.time for some new batts.
actually, that is the one that I was considering.I got the onyx 200 about 3 months ago along with 2 duratrax 5000mah 7 cell batts and have lost one cell in each of the batts already.just paperweights...
I kinda figured that.well,I guess that I might as well get one that will also charge lipo batteries just in case I ever decide to go lipo.thanks
can I charge an 8 cell nimh battery with the onyx 200 charger that only goes up to 7 cell or do I need a new charger?
try the 14t pinion.I guarantee wheelies with trenchers.in my test you will notice that I did not get wheelies with the 19t,just tire spin.not quite enough torque to lift the front.the trenchers are...
I hear ya.thanks for the slap upside the head.I needed that.I gotta get over the bigger is better mentality that I have always had.ambient temps get pretty high here in N.C. and for quite some...
very good diagram, copied onto my desktop.thanks.I agree, the one in the manual stinks and is worthless.
thanks for all the replies so far.lots of good info.I think that I'm leaning on the 5700 at the moment.I can put a fan on the esc and gear low enough to keep decent motor temps I think.I dont do...
I did a test for you today.fully charged 3000mah 7 cell nimh in rusty with trenchers on all four.25/83 gears, some torque, can spin wheels on dirt, hard to on tar.changed to19/83 gears.much more...
I have big trenchers on my rusty at the moment.not a chance of pulling a wheelie with 25/83 gears.I just changed to a 14t pinion to test it.fully charged 7 cell 3000mah traxxas battery that came with...
my rusty stock came with 25/83 gears and the slipper was backed off only a 1/4 turn from tight right from the factory.I could pull wheelies almost anytime and ride them for 20 feet, after I got a...
so whats everyone's opinion on a happy medium and the 4600kv.still good torque and possibly cooler esc than the 5700kv. I am mostly looking for more torque over stock but some extra top speed would...
why is it that the motor by itself cost way more than the esc/motor combo?just curious.I also cant seem to find the 3800kv matched with the sv3 sidewinder, just the 4600kv and up.
been wanting to upgrade to get more power and speed for my rustler vxl.after lots of questions and research I have finally decided(I think)on a sidewinder SV3 and 5700kv motor.has anyone tried this...
I have the trenchers on mine front and rear.I still use the 25/83 combo and my temps stay under 150°.you have to check motor and esc and battery temps for your type of driving and driving environment...
I've only broke mine twice
1) about 30 mph into a big concrete lamp post.only broke one front caster block.
2)about 10 feet in the air at the track, bad landing, about 15 wheel to wheel...
it still does good just the stock tires are smaller in diameter.also, the stock tires on the rear bite good for traction but are soft so they wear out fast.thats why I have trenchers now.good traction...
