Ha ha wow some of those are old!
From what know its all about the track. What's the surface like? High grip, low grip, size of jumps, etc. :)
Yep, I ran both of them off of my ET-3s. :) Ya, they were both probably over geared considering I was running 2.8 Trenchers.
OOOOhhhhh... You have a Traxxas Ram body. :p~ What shape is it in? :D
Nice score. It looks great!
Welcome to the dark side. Looking forward to the pictures.
It seemed everyone wanted to know how the Castle 3800kv motor compared to the new VXL 4 pole motor. Well I'm here to say I found out. :)
Both motors were ran in my Slash 4x4, like stated above.
Here's the final results.
Both motors were ran in my Slash 4x4, like stated above. Both were geared at 14/54, just to mix things up. I used a BRAND NEW SPC 2s 8200mah lipo to test them,...
Welcome back!
Nice fix, looks solid. :) You can get a new hull from Dollar Hobbyz for only $73. ;)
The new VXL 4 pole is a good choice, if you have a ESC that can run a 4 pole motor. :)
Love it! That looks really cool, nice job!
I was thinking the same thing. New un-used Monster Jam bodies are going to become rare, and not to mention valuable in the future.
I'll have all the real numbers possibly tonight, or tomorrow.
Not yet. I don't have any means to take temps yet, but this weekend I will be able to get some temps, and some speed readings on them.
The heatsink is actually a Traxxas part. It's from the...
Ok, I finally got around to uploading pictures of my new Summit body. :)
Hey guys, I guess I'm the first to compare the Castle 3800kv motor against the new 4 pole VXL motor. :) I just got the new VXL in the mail yesterday, so let the testing begin.
Ya, I hate that issue. It's common though, easy to pick with the RPM bumper mount. :)
Congrats! Enjoy your new truck!
Yep, it's a direct drop in. The Rally and Slash 4x4 are pretty much the same thing, so they'll drop right in.
Ya, I guess you could. It'd be much cheaper to buy stuff seperaly as far as I know. :)
Like Silly Old Boy said, it's quite easy. You just take the ESC apart, and remove all the outer casings. Then you just cover the circuit board in silicone (what I did) and just cover it very neatly....
Almost 100% true. ;) You can easily waterproof it, as I've done to my ET-3s and my MMP SCT. No issues with water for both of them including snow, mud, wet grass, you name it's done it. :)
^ Guess I'm the third. :) I have 8 Switch tires, 4 are still unopened new ha ha. I really can't figure out why Pro line killed them. There really wasn't any down sides to them, they even looked cool....
I'd strongly recommend the Hitec X1 charger. It can charge all battery types, lipo, life, lead acid, nimh, nicd, etc. Many people including my two friends love theirs. You can pick them up for about...
