How? This just snapped within 5 minutes, it wasn't due to lots of repeated use. Even my fubared stock driveshafts last longer when I pop them back together! Plus the noise it made when the damage...
No I'm breaking both, I've bent the stub axles, popped them out of their plastic holder and snapped both sides of the universal joint at that end off, be it on the stub ax;e side or the driveshaft...
Grease doesn't fix sheared hardened steel ;)
Zerpda - Speedbumps, don't make me laugh, quarter pipes, trees or nothing
I'm bending the stub axles, popping the axle itself out of the plastic it joins to, and snapping the universal joint on either side. Basically I'm obliterating them  I'm tempted to try Jato...
This isn't wear, I can't stress this enough, this is down to strength. They simply snap regardless of what I do with my diffs, or the throttle. I've even had them break when it wasn't the part that...
Joe - the axle itself, between the bearing and the hex. Another member on here has had the same issue and MIP has said they won't warranty them which I think is a bit awful really.
El sob - I'm...
Nah, a 5ft jump :(
****. :( I thought I could've gotten some beef.
But anyway, I ended up buying the MIP X-Duty driveshafts, and I've snapped an axle on them.
Maybe I shouldn't be allowed RC's
Hmmm... MIP still haven't got back to me yet which is a bit of a pain, seeing as I'm going to have to get them shipped from all the way over there in the US. Looking at the size of the axle and the...
I hope so, it wasn't even a high jump, and you could actually hear it shatter. I really hope they are a lemon set as I'm pretty fed up at the moment as I've just killed the whole centre driveline too.
5 minutes runtime and I've broken mine. I'm never buying them again, the stockers are better.
Evening ladies and gents.
I've been having a few fairly heavy bashing sessions with my Slash 4x4 and Rustler as of late. Now I'm breaking driveshafts left right and centre! They're the only thing...
Sorry to nump an old thread, but I was wondering what you screwed the cups to on the axle end? Did you just screw them to a stock axle, or a cut down HPI axle?
Thanks
One of the videos a mate of mine made:

I don't think that Castle can tell, as when I opened up my Mamba Max, the case was only a bottom cover. In fact I'm going to go and start waterproofing mine in a bit, as I think its out of warranty...
Has anybody got a part number for the new driveshafts? As I wouldn't mind using some on my Rustler.
I've not tried it yet, but I was going to use some HPI 8x84mm bones from a Savage, but they are £8 a piece over here :O and my stock sliders are actually holding up too. I think the real solution is...
I'm going to be running this setup soon with a slightly longer set of dogbones. I'll report how these go, as I was forever shearing or snapping the dogbones from the other setup. I guess I bash too...
Eek I think I will give those Ti ones a miss. With the flat shipping rate to England, that'll cost about $40 in all which is a bit pricey at the moment. I'll just run the Jato ones and see how they...
The Jato ones, as they looked a little bit thinner from the photos near the beginning of the thread.
Thanks for that :) The only thing I can see that would be a problem is the thickness of the rods, are they much thinner than the stock camber links? As I don't go lightly on this truck.
Thanks.
Sorry to bump up an old thread, but I need some advice. I am doing the conversion now, but my camber links seem to be too short to get a level camber. Would those Jato turnbuckles hold up, or should...
Looks like mine did a few weeks back! Got to love the hose down technique. i use some weird tyre foam I found in my garage for the soap, and then spray it off with a hose, Jobs a good 'un.
Nice choice Jtek. I used a single 4s pack for mine, which gets a bit hot, but it still seems to last a fair while. I got 2 4000mAh 4s packs too to run in parallel, though I think he never balanced...
