Hi, are you satisfied with those shocks? Is it the front or rear shocks?

Thank you eurofocus! Even more of the info I was looking for!!! :)
Thank you.
I'll start with tires, a-arms and rockers then. :)
Hi all. You are the experts! :)
I just got a hold of a MERV, but I really wanted a Mini Summit.
I just want the offroad capabilites of the Summit, not the looks to start with.
1) Is it enough...
Thank you all, especially for the pictures!
It's tough to decide. At this point I lean towards a mini-Summit for him, just because it's 1,2kg instead of a stock Slash 4x4 at 2,5kg. Let's just say...
An update. Really like the new sets of tires! :)
No rubbing, not even close!

Hi all.
I'm going crazy. I have two sons who I'm trying to get into RC. I just can't decide what to buy them. I currently have a Slash 4x4 and a Summit 1/10 BL-converted, so I will buy them a...
Thank you very much! :)
Too bad with the slightly decreased track width, but you can't win them all. :)
Hi, I did search, and just like you point out, I did find out that beadlocks are rubbing a-arms. What I didn't manage to find out was if the non-beadlocks rubbed the a-arm.
Thanks, that would be great!
Hi, I'm looking to get new wheels and tires for the Summit. I've read some warning about some wheels that might rub on a-arms and pushrods. I did search for an answer but wasn't able to find any on...
I had the same. This was my problem:
One bad bearing on the pinion gear at the diff, slightly loose crown wheel, and the two planet gears in the diff had one teeth gone each.
Right now, I have the...
Not sure if you would rate this as snow crawling, anyway, there are some lowgear low speed action(?). Had to hold the camera with one hand, steer with the chin. :)
Anyway, 720p on YT, enjoy!

Just wanted to share my BL setup, which is very cheap!
ESC:
Hobby King Brushless Car ESC 100A w/ Reverse (Upgrade version)...
Same for me... rear diff ringgear and pinion is making alot of noise. However, it's not binding or causing anything else than noise, so I continue to run with it. :)
It would work, as long as you keep it under 4S Lipo. Make your own Y-cable to use 2x2S Lipo.
Well, the ratings on the motors are probably a peak rating, obtained on short bursts.
The 100A ESC is designed for 100A continous current. Just a reminder, 100A continous would drain a 5Ah battery...
Really nice, however, I have ran this cheaper 100A esc without any problem:
I think the 150A is somewhat overkill in the Slash, which is a fairly light vehicle compared to all the monstertrucks...

First crawling sessions, found a perfect place just 5km from home!
Had to steer with my mouth, so it wasn't the most technical driving. :)
So long video and so many words, to explain something that simple.
It's been done before though, on this forum. :)
Do you use grease on the pinion and ring gear? If so, how much?
