Well, you should not be upside down on your mortgage either, or have to return a faulty ESC, or take your car in for a recall, or constantly pay more for insurance, or pay for text messages...but...
Getting wet or even submerged once in a while will not harm a BL motor. Over time you can get rust or corrosion of sorts. Routine Maintenance will take care of that though. It's the ESC you need to...
Always ran it as tight as she goes.
In any case I have had no more problems with the Gen 3.
Will that motor work OK with a MMP or MMM?
x2...if you don't have a 4x4 in your arsenal then there is no question about it!
Between 1/8 and 1/4 with the stock motor. With beefier systems like the SCT MMP then a fully tight slipper to maybe 1/8 is good.
Just like sanders said... .
Good luck.. I have had a couple Tqi's for a couple years now and they are as good as they were day one. I have never used the iPhone thingy though.
Very Funny!
I guess with me the slop is more of a "type-a personality" annoyance. It just seems so wrong that I cant get it out of my brain. My truck drives just fine and I'm just a basher who...
Thanks for the laugh Dave!
Fellow basher, it is really no big deal to adjust the endpoints of a servo and it is something we all should be comfortable doing. I noticed my truck doing it right out of the box and within a few...
Nitro, That was my next choice...especially since I could have bought 2 for the price I paid for the Ace. I just happened to win a low-ball bid and ended up paying about 30 bucks less than retail for...
Nope, dump the nimh's and NEVER look back! The vilenion system screams on 3s with half hour + run times!
My son bashes a 2x4 vxl on 2s and gets almost 45 minutes!
Lipo's have come way down... I...
I picked up a new traxxas 2.4 combo on ebay for 50 bucks! I can drive until I can't see the thing...good enough for me!
Here is one but shop around first!
My bad, I read too fast and thought you had the MMP combo but it was just the mount!
Also I read "you just need 2.8 wheels" and assumed that was all that was missing; I had a crazy day! :O.o:
I added the aluminum bell crank, aluminum carriers, aluminum turnbuckles and a Ace DS1015 servo...make sure the bell crank bearings are in good form as well!
The Servo was the most rewarding...
But for only 55 bucks at Amazon you can get MIPs ...what is 20 more bucks in the whole scheme of things?
That's a tuff call.. In my experience it is too hopped up for a newbie to appreciate and spend that kind of dough and unless it is a steal most enthusiasts would rather enjoy doing the build...
Ya know, when I installed the new Gen 3 I noticed some slop in the 10x19x5 bearing... it is possible that the their was just enough wobble to create friction and thus heat. Either way, the...
just drill them...but make sure you are dead center on the shaft! I was a little off on one and the adapter didn't fit...a costly mistake!
Yup....the chassis is the soul!
I went with the GEN 3 on my 4x4 pede. I was melting the plastic spurs on 4s with the MMP SCT. I run 17/54 daily with the occasional 19 pinion on occasion...but the motor gets too hot with that setup....
As an RC hobbyist you need to get comfortable with taping/gluing wheels and tires. It's the only way to get where you really want to be. It is not hard to prepare new stuff, but just wait until...
Installed the DS1015 and was truly surprised in the improvement! It is so much more responsive and quicker; it snaps my 3.2's back to dead center every time! I got lucky and picked it up new for 78...
Is there a tougher front bulkhead? I upgraded to the aluminum bellcrank but noticed the flimsy plastic shafts on the bulkhead flex because the diameter of the alum is smaller than the cutout on the...
