If a motor feels gritty when you spin it and is loud when you run it, can a fresh set of bearings fit it?

Overkill. You'll soon be saying hello to a dead steering servo and an thermaled esc.
I wonder how slow it would be. Could always try an 85t motor.
I'd suggest using the same wheels at the 4x4 stampede to start off. That's what most people have used for their Slash 4x4 MT conversions.
You don't. If you have a slash 4x4, just put big tires on it when you want to bash. Put the SC wheels back one when its time to race.
In that case electric wins, followed by nitro, then gas.
As of right now, gas is the strongest of the 3. Its hindered by its weight though. Electric is the next most powerful, but that's probably going to change with the new motor and esc I mentioned...
Its an old school MRC Thunder King. I had a dual VXL E-maxx for a while. Running dual 3s, it was just as fast an MMM setup.
Have you all tried gassers? They take some pro's from electric and nitro. They are darn near plug & play as they have very little tuning. They run for a long time and the fuel is cheap. They still...
Electrics actually have a long way to go. Battery technology is still evolving just like with life size electric cars. With the push towards a new source of power, electric technology will continue...
That's the train of that I was taught. More powered wheels = more gyro control.
That does look good pave. Nice work.
Really. I guess my experience with 4wd's has been limited to those running truggy wheels or larger except for my slash 4x4. I've found those 4wd to be super easy to control in air compared to my...
Sorry, I thought you had a slash 4x4. I get what you're saying and agree.
The MMM has a lot of adjust ability. If you the user knows how to tune the power curve and initial power, they can get by with no CD. They can be tuned to run just like nitro's.
Not very. Here's a link to an example. Poster has 2.2" Moabs on 2.8" wheels.

Pave said the stampede jumps excellent. Since the 4x4 isn't out yet, he's referring to the 2wd version. (correct me if I've wrong Pave).
I don't see a 2wd pede having better air control than a...
Jammin CRT X2 Truggy. GPS says 59.2mph on 6S. It is geared to hit 40mph on 4s as this is my race truck. Threw 6s in there just to see what would happen. It hits top speed in just a couple seconds....
Good. My 2wd stampede did nothing but wheelie until I put weight on the front of it.
You're saying a 2wd pede has better air control than a 4x4 slash mt? Doesn't make sense.
Sad thing is that twin engine setup will get owned by a 6s MMM. It does look nice though.
Outside of sight and smell, Nitro is losing to electric in every other aspect except for cost and even...
The reasoning between choosing one or the other seems pretty simple.
Stampede 4x4. Shorter truck. Narrow Body. Lots of wheelies
Slash 4x4. Longer Truck. Wide Parachute Body. Fewer wheelies. To...
They aren't all that different. One is just longer. Longer means less wheelies. Wheelies means no steering. If you want to steer, get the Slash 4x4 and make it into an MT. :)
Jumping is...
That's a good option. I've just stretched 2.2's over the 2.8.
I like larger trucks so Slash 4x4 MT is better suited for me. I also don't like wheelies.
