I have the same tires, foams looked way too big. I just stuffed them in there. Works well.
I'm pretty sure the smaller footprint tires need a denser foam to hold their shape.

I don't think so. Let the shell eat the impacts, not worth transferring all that energy into the truck. The shell will flex and absorb the energy. I've seen weird breakages with a roll cage. They...
That's what I thought as well, but both traxxas bearing sets said shielded on the package.
Currently using Avid rc and Team Blue star bearings. So far so good

I had the same idler bearing problem happen to my transmission. Happened during a 20 second long full throttle run in a gravel field. Idler bearing seized, spun in the case and melted it. Lost gear...

18/54 meshed ok but the motor was touching the esc. 20/54 leaves about 1.5mm of space.
The liquid electrical tape works well. I tried the outerwears cover, but heat does build up under it. It keeps the snow off and the motor and esc dry. Not enough cooling in the summer.

Balancing tires helps a lot. No more death wobble at speed.
Good bashing spot is at Alouette lake. Lots of terrain variety.
I run the 6000mah **** as well, no fit issues. Just a small notch on the battery door to fit a heavier wireless.
