2s is two cell lipo lithium polymer is a battery chemistry, google it. they have 3.7 volts per cell 2s is 7.4 3s is 11.1v

Is your lipo cutoff turned off? If it is on it might might think the 7 cell is a 3 cell lipo

My slash had the same problem and replaced it with a part from a HPI MT2 because I couldn't buy the replacement plus its plastic. The mt2 part is aluminum....

all newer traxxas esc's can be programmed to three drive profiles %100, no reverse, and %50. I don't know how long ago they had that feature. also check your gear mesh.
