Another vote for the Gladiators. Probably not the best tire for any 1 specific purpose/surface...but a very good all around tire.

Thanks for the replies. I guess in some ways I asked my question too quickly.

I know I "need" aluminum casters (but thought STRC was the best choice, now maybe I should look at Anza?).

    However,...

Another question - RPM or STRC carriers?

So, after doing the wide mod it's quite obvious that my stock plastic caster blocks have reached the limit of their useful life.

That said, I plan to upgrade to the aluminum STRC caster blocks....

  7. Currently have 4 pole 3800 - should I look at the 4 pole 4600?

Right now I have the SCT system from Castle. The Sidewinder 3 ESC and 3800kV 4 pole motor. Is there an advantage going to the 4600kV motor? My track does have a 2S limit on stadium trucks.

    I do...

Wide mod for racing...yea or nay?

I guess a fairly easy question, but I'm looking for info from those who have used the wide mod in a racing type format.

Do you prefer the stock width, or wider width? I assume rollover stability...

PS - I don't think they are overall softer...but the first bit of compression on them is very soft; thus the recommendation to preload them a little bit.

I am having very good luck with progressive front springs on my Rustler a thin spacer. I tried the progressives on the rear...and they did not work as well as linear for my particular truck/driving.

I really like the Spektrum S6180. They are ~$29. Not quite as much torque as the 2075, but it is faster and all metal gears.
