Sounds to me like LVD is on, what color is/was the light when running, what is the light on the esc doing now? Make sure the low voltage detection is off if you are running NIMH.

Could be the motor, is it an xl5? Did you check the hexes are they stripped? If it is new Traxxas should help you under warranty.

Yep, you need to turn off the low voltage detection.

The light should be red when you turn it on. If I recall you need to turn it on then release it. Then hold it again until the light turns red....

Sounds to me like it is hitting the low voltage cut off, are you running Lipo or Nimh. Seems like I threw a Nimh in and left my LCD on and it got a few feet then went red and stopped.
