ive had this happen to one of my firebolts resoldered,no problem!

im wondering if your current brush is to narrow(length ways w/ length of truck),maybe a longer brush like a snow brush on back of ice srcaper, then cut to shape desired. i have no clue how to mount...

put it on lipo i think youll like it!

just my 2cents here- i have dave grigger mj,stock weight except for alloy bearing carriers,geared 17/86 on mj tires.running sv2/4600kv 4 pole on 2s.has never got so hot i couldnt put a finger to it...

firebolt is a direct bolt in,and cheap,no soldering,no grinding of flat spot,fast as stock,maybe better. also,on the brushless side,the mmp is now waterproof as well,is it not? hey no one,i wanna see...

way to noodle it through,emaxx! nice hint.i love it when i learn something frpm anothers thread!

could try firebolt 15t.then change to one tooth smaller pinion than stock.motor is 12 to 15bucks,have had 2 or 3 now,they last about 6 months when beaten & ignored-good luck

mj mounts?

i use triton 2 eq.i've heard others have had problems w/ them,but i have not.been in use 18 months now.

if she has sticker shock w/ this hobby,maybe you should try a 1:1 scale project.she'"ll be beggin for rc! its cool your son is helping w/ the install. gotta get them involved early on!

i have the sv2/4600kv setup in a stampede,you are really gonna want a lipo once you go brushless.good luck
