I use RD Racing carriers, Titanium pillow balls with aluminum oringed retainers and delrin cups, 8mm stub axles and M2C 17mm hubs.
If you go to the tire link all the wheels will work on the 2.5 with 14mm hubs except the the ones that have the use W/17mm spline in parenthesis.

The standard traxxas wheel is zero offset. The 3.8 dish wheels that came standard on the Platinum are 1/2 offsets.

It might not be gears, you might have just sheared the screw pin that is in the primary shaft and thats an easy fix as well. That can happen sometimes with on power landings on a high bite surface.
This is the silicone grease you would want to use on your tranny gears. Helps cut down on gear wear and eliminates the white powder you see in your tranny housing.

For you to come on here and make comments about something in this ever evolving industry about something you say happened ten years ago makes your statements invalid. Fuels have change so much in...
Second tank of an engine break in should not even run nearly that hot. 200 to low 200's at most. Operating temps up to 270 yes but break in absolutely not.
The Platinum edition comes stock with 100k in the center diff, 50k in the front and 10k in the rear, you have to upgrade it to 500k.
That is an RC8T body. Lemonbrisk when you see how thick that body is and how thin the Platinum body is you may think twice on that decision.
The one you have shown has the correct Platinum receiver box on it, The other one posted above does not it has the optional taller box to accept a hump pack or single battery tray. Thats a nice...
If you locked up a not one but three motors on a break in you don't know what you are doing no matter what fuel you are using. We are team racers for Byron's and will tell you right now this is...
A single chamber without the bored stinger is going to produce those results compared to a dual chamber as that is the characteristics of that pipe. It should be compared to another stock single...
I have an anodized red 3.3 exhaust pipe and header that has never been used.
The 21tm is running the same crank as the 18tm. That motor is gas starved in my opinion. All thru racing racers running those constantly fought the high temps just to run the mains at the speeds it...
I always thought racing was something vs. something.
Very nice work my friend, A+ on that!!!
This option only detects low voltage and I have said this before it is not a true fail safe. It will not detect radio interference or loss of signal. Turn your radio off or loss signal to your...
The only Revos with fail safe capability are those using the newer 2.4 micro receiver and TQi Radio. Where did you find the link that says it applies the brakes.
5-Channel Micro Receiver with...
I would not buy either one, I would buy Racers Edge Aluminum ends. They have a delrin ball and last very well. It usually happens in the rear from the exhaust being over them.
I use Shoo Goo and put a thin coat on the underside to protect it from scratches and fuel. You can get a pack of small cheap nylon brushes in a 5 pack from the hobby shop and just take your time a...
You can't have too closed at idle. That is what the throttle stop screw is for, it won't let the carb close anymore than the stop is set at.
You are doing fine, we have all been there, that's how most have learned trust me on that! LOL
One of your diffs is upside down, they will have markings on them the says UP.
If you are looking to race I would get familiar with the Platinum because that truck evolved from the things we were all doing to modify our trucks. Then I would add the common upgrades from there...
If you switch to the hard anodized shock bodys you won't need change the oil that often but with the older aluminum ones the oil will get black pretty fast.
