The box for a DR-1 with the transmitter is about 21" long, 7" wide and 3.5" deep.
The portion of the box that holds the transmitter is about 8" long so subtract that from the length and that...
It depends on what type of flying you want to do.
If you want to learn to fly helis the DR-1 is good as a stepping stone to more advanced fixed or collective pitch helis. It will give you a feel...
Rebuilt my shocks and decided to take it for a test drive. Enjoy.
A collection of clips of my E-Maxx.
RPM bulkhead braces
RPM front bumper
Traxxas Big Bore Shocks
It could be a number of things:
1) There are actually two main shafts, one to turn each set of blades. The upper slides down through the lower shaft. It's possible that you bent one of them in a...
I've had some time to practice. It flies well outside as long as there isn't any wind.
The nitro stampede was my first hobby grade rc. It was also my first nitro truck.
Like the other posters have stated the pro .15 engine is very forgiving with tuning. That said, I would recommend...
Here's a video of me trying to hover with my new DR-1. Sorry about the grainy video, the lighting isn't great and goPro cameras don't work well indoors.
So I just got my DR-1 in the mail the other day. I've flown it seven times now and the last three flights have seemed really short. I timed the last one and the battery only lasted a little over two...
The only upgrade on the truck in this video is RPM skid plates.
I recently got a brushless Emaxx and I'm glad I did. It technically doesn't NEED any upgrades but if you're planning to do big jumps you should look at getting aluminum bulkheads. So far I've put RPM...
My truck just start clicking this past weekend also. I haven't had a chance to take it apart yet but I suspect the front diff is messed up. I'm interested in knowing what you do to 'beef' yours up.
Nice. I just got my emaxx recently too and I've been thinking of getting that heat sink and fan. How much cooler does your motor run with that on?
Nice! The couple times I ran without a wheelie bar I did nothing but cartwheel.
Haha. I never thought of that. Thanks.
Thanks. I figured I should take some pictures since it will probably never be that clean again.
Is there any easy way to get the ESC fan off? Mine was full of grass/gravel. I managed to get enough of it out so that the fan spins freely but there is still quite a bit in there.
I'm running 4s in those videos. I have two of the 7.4v 2s 3300 mAH 25c lipos and two 7.4v 2s 5800 mAH 25c packs. I'm half afraid to run 6s, I just got the truck and I don't want to break it yet. Plus...
I just got my EMBE a couple of months ago. So far it's completely stock but I plan to upgrade it when I have some more cash.
I've moved this thread into the Gallery where it belongs with all the...
I thought the skid plate was a good buy. It does affect the handling a little but not too much. I broke my rear bulkhead twice running on a dirt track which is why I got it.
You could probably...
My merv is mostly stock so far. I have a tbone skidbplate and hitech-85mg servo installed.
