Use an 18-24" model rocket chute inside a small section of tubing. Put a spring behind the chute to push it out when the servo pulls the pin holding it back.
I just put the Align DS610 in my Sl4sh and it rocks. Super fast with good torque. Have them in the cyclic in my TRex 600NSP. Retail is about $68.
Horizon has them for $110. But no ETA
You can use the stock slash hub carriers. Would just have to change to 6x11 bearings and tekno hexes.
This shows just one, but doesn't specify one pair or what. Wouldn't be surprised if it is only one axle
That price isn't that far off. Sounds like retail for ONE front axle assembly will be around $38.
