I find 2wd to squerly. I like to be able to control my truck at speed. I had a blown out front diff and it was all over the place. I sometimes like to do speed runs on the road and I have to take off...

On the dvd that came with my new engine, they say to use wd40 after running. They recomend to take out glowplug, spray into engine for 1 second spray and in carb, then putting a rag on top of engine,...
try richening the LSN. Did you try the pinch test? Pinch the fuel line while its running and warmed up (after a few speed runs) and if it stalls out right away, the LSN is too lean. if it runs for 3...
also, If you're like me and love spare parts, get yourself a set of E-maxx differencials. that way when the ones in the truck fail, the E-maxx diffs are way tougher. A glowplug heater is also always...
I am also gona stick with the pullstart for a while. Its a pain dealing with a dead battery in my want, especialy when Im at a rc meet almost 2 hours away from home.
Ya I am pretty much doing the same recomended break in procedure. The tank only lasts about 10 mins or so cause its running rich. I ran out of time to keep going with break in today plus I may only...
It is recomended to stick with which ever percentage of fuel you break in with. Lets say if you do the break in with 20% stick with it for the life of the engine. Also, you may want to get a wheelie...
I agree. E-maxx diffs are way stronger. My friend went through 3 diffs on his truck then he finally put in E-maxx diffs. fixed it!
I got a new engine yesterday and did some breakin runs!! ALOT better now! I got the 2.5R and I like it so far! When I took parts off my old engine, I got a look at the inside and man was it ever...
The OWB on the savage is easy to change. I changed mine and it works awesome now. BUT, If you preheat your savage engine before you start it, It starts alot better and faster with a messed up OWB....
wouldn't hurt to check the bell clutch. It might be worn out or not working properly.
ya, I was leaving fuel in the tank and lines for weeks but it would still fire up. Since I was told about the WD40 trick, I started doing it. I think it why my engines start a little easier now,...
I have a 9.6 pack taped to my wand. turns the engine over faster.
is after run oils only used if stored or planing on sitting for a week or 2 or is it recomended to use after every run, even if you plan to run the next day?
I have a savage too, 4.6 X/SS RTR and I have had problems with it. Just in the last 2 weeks I have got it started and running long enough to enjoy it a bit. Last time I ran it tho, 3 days ago, It...
yup, slipper clutch.
Take the blue wire off the glow plug and touch the conector on the engine and try the wand on it that way without the glow plug. If the light don't come on, theres a problem on the harness. Also,...
I painted them.
Maybe make sure your wire for the antenna on the truck is not broken and make sure the antenna on the controler is on tight. You may be loosing signal somewhere. Get a friend to hold the radio and...
Ya, my friend has the 3.3 and his is eating diffs. He just replaced the front diff on his and the rear diff is getting a bit loose. But, hes always on full trottle which I aint. I like wheelies too...
Well, I ran my Digger-maxx the other day and I do beleive the engine is done. Now, it only runs for 2-3 mins before it overheats and I can't get it refired till like 10-15 mins after. And when I try...
Also, Make sure the batteries in the truck itself are charged.
My friend was told that using WD40 after running is a good after run oil. Anyone here use it and how good or bad is it on the engine? I have been trying it too and it seems to be ok. How we do it is...

OR, the connector is dirty causing it not to make a contact. Mine does it all the time and I just have to clear it out of debris. If you put the want in, move it around a bit and it will make contact.
