Be careful with this method! I watched the videos, wore gloves and I still ended up with big blisters! The problem is that some of the glue can still stay stuck and when you pull and apply pressure...
Someone told me to switch to 32p gears I would have to change the slipper clutch? Is this correct? Or is is it a simple replacement of the spur gear (replace with jato) and pinion gear?
Is seems as soon as you upgrade to a 3s lipo aluminum in the front corners is required.
front castor blocks is what I meant!
yup I meant hub carriers. Was going to get the STRC hub carriers and steering knuckles. My son has this setup and has had zero breakages since.
I'm having tons of fun this week. Got the week of so I've bashed my truck everyday this week! Broke two front hub carriers with low impact hits so I'm off to the LHS today to get some aluminum!

Yes I'm definitely over analyzing. After putting in the large spacers in front I'm happy with the current setup. My front suspension was rolling to much on a sharp turn before adding the spacer.

Has anyone directly compared a vxl with 3s against the SCT with 2s? I couldn't imagine needing more power than a VXL with 3s, if the SCT is equivalent with 2s that would be a great combo as I suppose...
This gets complicated as there are so many variables.
1. Shock oil.
2. Pistons.
3. Springs.
4. Spacers.
5. Shock position.
6. Tire position.
Plus you can have these variables different in...

Depends what you want to do. My sons running 23/86 in his 3s setup. I think that is a bit over-geared but he likes his car to flip over as it nears top speed. I'm running 21/86 in mine and I think...
I ride on hard packed dirt with loose stuff all the time so I don't want to compromise that. I took it out and noticed that all the roll was happening in the front. So I switched my medium spacer...
I finally rebuilt my sons and my Slash shocks, after we bent all the shafts. Installed TiNi coated shafts and put in RPM shock pistons. I set up the pistons per RPM base recommendations: 40 weight...
I was refering to the jconcepts body:
http://www.jconcepts.net/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_42&products_id=336
Apparently they have two styles of Raptor SVT!!
Seems like Ford will license the Raptor SVT to anyone. :D
I like the look of the jconcepts body the best. Its the most "truck-like".
Proline makes one now. Maybe its the proline.
Jconcepts makes this body. It doesn't look like anyone answered the original question.
I noticed in a lot of people are using 2.8 Talon wheels on their Baja Slashes. I love the look and would like to do this on my Baja Slash.
My question is do they mount without mods? If mods are...
Do the talon wheels mount without any modifications? Or do you need some kin of adapter? I'd like to get some for my Baja Slash. They look cool.
Yes you can. That is what I am doing now. I have done my two rear shocks so far. I discovered my front shafts are bent so I ordered some hardened ones today.
From what I have read the rpm pistons...
That's what I thought as well. I wanted firmer compression in the back so this is how I'll leave it for now. I'm going to setup with the rpm recommended settings and then adjust if I need to after...
I understand your thinking.
I did my first shock last night (don't have much free time so it will take me a while!). I installed a purple piston in a rear shock and used 42.5 weight shock oil,...
This is what RPM recommends as a good starting point for the slash:
Start with stock springs and 40wt. oil in both the front and rear shocks. Using the RPM #80430 kit, replace the stock pistons in...
