Spray contact cleaner where the brushes make contact with the stator. Over time dirt and debris build up.

Use Blue Medium Loctite. Just enough to lightly cover the threads.

Remove the glow plug. With the glow wire attached. Ground the glow plug to the head. Give it a shot. If the glow plug doesn't glow. You either have a burned out Wand, or the plug is shot....

Depending on the ambient temps. Nitro in cold weather my require a hotter plug. I don't use the Glow Plug system on the EZ-Start either. I use a sepperate Glow Plug igniter. When the motor does...

Upgrade the slipper clutch while you have the trans out. The kit is around $25 comes with new input shaft, clutch and pads. If you decide to upgrade to the 3.3 motor, you will be good to go....

Check and see if the ESC to RX plug is in backwards.

I would get the hand held temp gun for just a few more dollars. You can pick one up cheap on eBay, or Harbor Freight. This way you can jump from Nitro to Electric temp measurement.
