It will sometimes give you problems programming reverse if the throttle trim is not set properly. Start with it at 50/50 and the trim at 0. Then program the ESC again.

+1 to that^^^^^^^^^^, My wife uses a 5000Mah 2s on asphalt and gets the same runtime I do (about 30-40 min) on 3s 5400. I do run pretty aggressively though.
