imo from what I have seen the motor heat sink/fan. My motor was running hot the esc was fine.

I have had the same issues and tried several things to solve the problem. One thing I did notice is mine tended to do it mostly when I changed modes to either training mode for my son or to race...

I use the same servo...I even had a 20 off 50 coupon from tower so it only cost me 54 bucks. That servo should last forever in this truck. I raced on for 2 years in my revo.
