Aaah, thanks a lot!
These are what I have:

Remember that Jato fronts have bearings at the wheels, so they're not intended to be used like this.
Rears are allright...
Just slighly at the front, installed travel limiters (soft rubber, selfmade from old mouse mat...) to front shocks. No probs at the back.
While waiting new rears to arrive I was looking for a temporary solution to my (lack of) tire problem.
There was a set of 1/8 buggy tires lying around, which were about the same width and just...
Went for a little testing for my cheapo L-sized 3500kv brushless motor, 18/40 Mod1 gears and 6000mAh 3S lipo on a gravel surfaced soccer field.
Guess the Slash was going pretty fast since the rear...

FYI lipos have lifetime of around 300 cycles when used carefully and with balancer.
Now let's calculate again, just to be pessimistic we'll use 200 cycles.
200x15 minutes of runtime is 50 hours of...

Sidewinder 4600 Combo & 3S LiPo
Slash's price is good, will definetely be getting one.
Mmmm... someone's been reading my Jato thread at RCMonster, since there's no mention about the gyro in the video details... :)
Rear arms are not the same as in Rustler/Stampede, prolly they're a bit shorter.
Wheels are definetely the same offset.
Rustler arms/hubs:...
Spool adds too much stress for the driveline and when you have enough power, something will break.
In my case it was the spool itself...

Plastics don't last for long if you're running some serious power or fit if you have big shocks.
5451R will fit 3905 and Kershaw Designs seem to have CVD's for the center.

Hmmm... what radar were they using? I'd like to measure my Maxx with it - might break the 70mph barrier...
Bah... RCBS
I suggest you search something that will work in a car. Plane ESC's have way different throttle and brake settings that are not suitable to car use.
Did some testing with Maxx Paddles and selfmade snowchains (someone might remember those from my 3906 Maxx). Now talking about traction on snow!
Hit a lamp post and broke the front bumper -...
It's the stock idler from the new E-Maxx (3905) made by Traxxas, not RC-Monster. I'm not 100% sure if it fits straight to the older model, atleast the measures are a bit different from the stock...
Thanks for your comments!
firestarter: I'll tell my experiences when I get the motor. Supposed to be one of the "better" brands. :)
Ksean: Those are Du-Bro body clip retainers, very handy...
Change the lipo cut-off to "race mode", it should help.
Notice what the manual says about race mode:
In race mode, the motor will be stopped when voltage of batteries drops below ca 4V, number...
Greets from snowy Finland!
Just got my new E-Maxx up and running this weekend.
Converted to brushless straight from the box with BK Wanderer 20XL06 motor, MGM ComPro TMM 12018-3 Expert Hydro ESC...
Here here!
edit: oh pardon, single brushless
Yes, ProLine Maxx Paddles #1084.
Other specs: BK Electronics Wanderer 20XL motor, MGM ComPro TMM 12018-3 hydro ESC, 2 x MaxAmps 7,4V 8000mAh LiPos connected to parallel if I need some driving time,...
Needed more braking/turning grip for MaxPaddles on snow, so I made chains for them:
