sounds pretty normal to me.
the alarm should do the trick, Maybe try swapping for the later version esc with lvd. Flea bay has some pretty good deals
its a sheet from AE that I purchased and cut to exact size. Ive used it in the past with great results. Also its perfect length for our chassis, not a mm to spare.
Just thought I would share with others who might be interested I purchased a chassis protector for my xo-1 and it came out great. ill be posting pic's soon
I don't blame you but if you where near by I would gladly do it.
bill gates where are you located ? I would gladly do it for you if you are with in driving distance if not ship it and ill glady ship it back same day. Im Ontario Canada
3s creates more heat which is something you've been complaining about. considering you have them im sure you take advantage of the 3s capabilities which just aren't meant for a summit. Also just...
my opinion those 3s batteries have to go. those are extreme overkill on a summit, have you seen videos of guys running 3s on erevo's? its ballistic. 2s is plenty there has to be something wrong...
Summits a great all around truck and even with stock motor running lipos its pretty quick considering its size.
it's no speed demon so if you looking for something with plenty of speed this wont be...
you got hundreds of dollars invested as you say. you really shouldn't let a 5$ connector ruin your day.
I agree proper connections do go a long way.
Hey guys so Im thinking of getting stiffer springs for my xo-1 but don't have a clue which direction to go.
If you've swapped your springs and shock fluid and don't mind sharing which spring rates...
try and post pics when you can. We might be able to help you better by looking at your rig.
wow! that really sucks especially after a rebuild of the diff. maybe try a different bearing as jamann mentioned
if you don't have connectors how are you running 2 batteries at the same time?
when the wires touched maybe it might have caused some internal damage to the esc?. I had my MXL-6S running with a 16t pinion with stock spur and it was crazy fast running 2s lipos. I would run full...
post pics to show us how you got everything connected.
running 6s doesn't help your heat issues. Im not saying its the issue but why don't you get you connector situation all figured before you start asking for help? Im just saying.
im running 14...
went through similar issue my servos and ended blowing one out. the car not going into gear might have been a faulty servo considering that tried manually moving it. try calling traxxas for...
Have you tried the search engine? this topic has been covered plenty of times.
how many battery connectors are on your esc, 1 or 2? your truck should be pretty quick if properly connected
i have the MXL-6S with the fan on plus I bought the optional cooling fan for the motor and hooked that up using y adaptor.
I wouldn't do any other way.
first things first why would you be running 6s in a summit your asking for trouble. for tuning you have to purchase the castle link adaptor.
on the remote there is a red button that controls the 2 speed tranny. dumb question have you tried that? also if your using nimh batteries it wont be as peppy as if you were using lipo
yes there is a bit of play between the spur and pinion. proper gear mesh is extremely important or you'll be chewing up those spur gears, creating excessive noise and putting stress on the motor.
